Welcome to the blog for Heza, a nonprofit dedicated to scaling ultraclean, renewably fueled cooking in the global south.
Heza is an adjective in Kinyarwanda meaning beautiful or healthy in relation to a place. It’s a fitting name because bringing clean, modern cooking solutions to the billions of people who lack such access today will improve health and restore overharvested landscapes.
In this blog we hope to inform, provoke discussion, and shine a spotlight on interesting people, organizations, research, and market developments in this fast evolving field. We want this to be a space where conventional thinking is challenged in a respectful, fact-driven way and promising solutions gain the attention and support that they deserve.
Thank you for joining us on this journey.
