Heza is a nonprofit initiative founded in 2020, to support the scaling of ultra-clean, renewably fueled cooking systems in the global south. Heza sits under the 501(c)3 tax exempt fiscal sponsorship of ISET-International, the Institute for Social and Environmental Transition. ISET has conducted pioneering work in climate mitigation and adaptation in the global south since 1997. It has managed more than $40 million in projects across more than one dozen countries, with support from The Rockefeller Foundation, Ford Foundation, the UK Department for International Development, U.S. Agency for International Development, International Red Cross, The World Bank, and others.
